PGO S.A. and Llanelec Precision Engineering Sign Framework Agreement

Cooperation strengthens the potential of the Polish and British defence industries PGO S.A. and British company Llanelec Precision Engineering have signed a Framework Agreement establishing a basis for cooperation.

The agreement was signed during MSPO 2026 in Kielce and paves the way for joint projects, cooperation within supply chains, and the utilisation of the complementary capabilities of both companies in the defence sector.

The signing of the agreement marks another step in PGO S.A.’s efforts to develop international industrial cooperation and strengthen its position as a partner for companies operating in demanding defence markets. The joint presence of PGO and Llanelec at this year’s MSPO also provides an opportunity to discuss ways of leveraging the production capabilities of both companies in projects requiring high quality, precision and reliable manufacturing capacity.

The agreement establishes a framework for further cooperation between the Polish and British companies. In particular, it provides for the potential implementation of joint ventures, cooperation within supply chains, and the exchange of experience and expertise in engineering, technology and manufacturing.

A company cooperating with the UK Ministry of Defence

For PGO S.A., cooperation with Llanelec Precision Engineering is part of its strategy to develop its capabilities and expand its presence in international industrial markets, with a particular focus on the defence sector.

PGO S.A. is Poland’s largest manufacturer of castings and forgings. The Group’s capabilities include steel, cast iron and aluminium HPDC castings, steel and aluminium forgings, as well as CNC machining. PGO’s production and engineering facilities also include in-house toolmaking and pattern-making departments, heat-treatment and mechanical-processing facilities, as well as research laboratories.

This enables the company to participate in projects covering multiple stages of the production process – from technology development and production process preparation to the manufacture of finished components.

Llanelec Precision Engineering specialises in precision engineering as well as the manufacture, repair and supply of components and systems for demanding applications, including the defence sector. The company has a 35 year history as a trusted parner with the UK Ministry of Defence.

“We are delighted to sign the Framework Agreement with PGO S.A. during MSPO 2026. It represents an important step in delivering our international strategy and provides a solid foundation for further developing cooperation between our organisations. Llanelec and PGO share a commitment to the highest standards of engineering, quality, and the development of modern and resilient manufacturing capabilities. By combining the strengths of both companies, we see significant opportunities to support future programmes and strengthen cooperation between the British and Polish defence industries” said Spencer John, CEO, Llanelec Precision Engineering.

PGO focuses on international partnerships

“Cooperation with Llanelec Precision Engineering is an important element of PGO S.A.’s efforts to expand our presence in the international defence market. Both companies have capabilities that complement each other very well, and we therefore see real potential for jointly delivering future projects” said Łukasz Petrus, CEO, PGO S.A.

“For us, it is particularly important to build relationships that not only support sales development, but, above all, enable Polish manufacturing capabilities to become part of international supply chains. PGO has extensive capabilities in foundry operations, forging, machining and manufacturing engineering. We want to leverage this potential in projects carried out jointly with international partners, particularly in the defence sector” he added.

The Framework Agreement provides a basis for further discussions concerning specific projects and areas of cooperation. Potential areas include joint industrial ventures, manufacturing cooperation, supply-chain development, and the utilisation of the technological and engineering capabilities of both companies.

Cooperation between the Polish and British defence industries

The growing importance of international industrial partnerships is particularly evident in the defence sector, where the ability to ensure stable supply chains, access to manufacturing capabilities and the capacity to rapidly increase production is becoming one of the key elements of industrial security.

From PGO S.A.’s perspective, cooperation with a British partner provides an opportunity to further develop its capabilities and strengthen the position of Polish industry as an active participant in the European defence market.

“Europe needs a strong defence industry, and its foundations are not limited to major programmes and complete systems. They also include the capabilities of companies responsible for manufacturing the components and elements used in these solutions. PGO wants to be part of this process and develop cooperation with partners who enable us to leverage our capabilities in additional markets” Łukasz Petrus emphasised.

The joint presence of PGO S.A. and Llanelec Precision Engineering at MSPO 2026 marks the first important stage in presenting the developing partnership between the two companies. The exhibition in Kielce also provides an opportunity to discuss further cooperation opportunities with representatives of the defence industry, institutions and potential business partners.

"I was delighted to witness the signing of a Framework Agreement between PGO and Llanelec today. This exciting development is a perfect example of Polish and British firms combining their expertise to bolster supply chain resilience. The PGO-Llanelec partnership directly supports the delivery of the Northolt Treaty and illustrates the UK’s commitment to long-term partnership with Polish industry." said Group Captain Chris Brow, Defence Attaché
