PGO S.A. at MSPO 2025: Polish Ammunition as a Pillar of Security

Polish Defense Technology at a Global Level – MSPO 2025 with the Participation of PGO S.A.

The International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce, one of the three most important industry events in Europe, became this year a platform for key presentations and strategic discussions on security. Among 811 exhibitors from 35 countries, the PGO Group showcased its competencies in the production of artillery ammunition and components for the defense industry, attracting the attention of military representatives, industry professionals, and the media.

At the heart of the company’s presentation was a demonstration model of the first fully Polish 155 mm artillery shell body. Developed in collaboration with the Military Institute of Armament Technology, this project represents a breakthrough toward full production autonomy in the field of large-caliber ammunition. Its compliance with NATO standards and entirely domestic development eliminate dependence on foreign licenses and suppliers.

Responding to the Challenges of Modern Defense

At the PGO booth, 120 mm and 155 mm shell bodies were also presented, perfectly aligning with current market demands. In light of the ammunition shortage – a problem widely discussed both at MSPO and in public discourse – domestic production is gaining strategic importance. The development of industrial capabilities in this field is a direct response to the current geopolitical landscape and the need to build national defense potential.

As a leader in the production of castings and forgings, PGO participates in defense projects not only involving ammunition but also components for combat vehicles, mobile bridges, naval units, and hydraulic systems. The scale of the Group’s operations and its capacity to carry out technologically advanced projects was reaffirmed during this year’s exhibition.

A Forum for Dialogue Between the Defense and Foundry Industries

PGO’s participation in MSPO was not limited to product presentation. The company actively took part in a conference dedicated to the cooperation between Polish foundries and the defense industry, organized by the Polish Foundrymen’s Technical Association and the Foundry Chamber of Commerce. This meeting opened the path to deeper collaboration between manufacturers and strategic partners in the defense sector, highlighting the potential of Polish foundry capabilities as a guarantor of security and raw material independence.

The high level of interest in domestic production, along with the presence of numerous state and international delegations, confirms that MSPO is not only a venue for technology showcases but, above all, a space for the exchange of experience and strategic decision-making. In this context, PGO’s presence reinforces our position as a key player in the defense industry.
